Description
The Otis 20 Gauge Shotgun Cleaning Kit is built for the shooter who wants a complete, dedicated cleaning solution for a 20-gauge without improvising around components sized for a different bore. Every tool in the kit is matched to the 20-gauge, so you are not stretching patches, forcing a loose brush through, or threading adapters onto adapters just to get started.
The backbone of the system is five sectional brass rods that link together and terminate in a swivel handle. Brass is softer than steel, which matters at the muzzle crown and along the bore’s rifling — the material gives before the barrel does, eliminating the risk of a steel rod scoring the metal if the rod flexes under pressure. The sectional design lets you reach the full length of any 20-gauge barrel without committing to a one-piece rod that only suits guns of a specific length.
Bore scrubbing is handled by a bronze phosphor brush, which is hard enough to mechanically break up powder fouling and lead deposits but again softer than the barrel steel. A cotton bore mop and a pierce-point brass jag with felt pads address lubrication and final wiping passes. The included 2.5-by-2.5-inch patches are cut for the 20-gauge bore rather than trimmed down from a larger square. A nylon all-purpose brush handles the receiver, bolt face, and any other surface where a bore brush is too large or too stiff. A half-ounce bottle of Otis FP-10 Lubricant Elite CLP rounds out the kit so you can clean, lubricate, and protect in one session without reaching for a separate product. An 8-32 to 5/16-27 thread adapter is included for compatibility with standard shotgun cleaning accessories. All machined components are made in the USA.
