Description

The Otis Ripcord Deluxe Kit is a field cleaning solution for shooters who need to run a complete bore-to-exterior cleaning routine without carrying a full cleaning kit. It fits .223 Remington, 5.56mm NATO, and 5.7mm chambers, so it covers the most common AR-platform configurations in a single package.

The core of the kit is the Ripcord, a one-pass bore cleaner built around a molded rubber core wrapped in Nomex fibers. Where a traditional patch-and-rod setup requires multiple passes and a jag, the Ripcord moves through the bore in a single pull, with the fiber matrix conforming to the rifling and scrubbing the bore wall as it travels. The included T-handle gives you something to grip when pulling through a tight bore, and its notch accepts the short AP brush so the handle doubles as a brush grip when you need it.

The caliber-specific bore brush and cotton bore mop let you address carbon and copper fouling more aggressively when the Ripcord alone isn’t enough, and the cotton mop is useful for applying solvent or leaving a light oil coat before storage. The 0.5 oz dropper-tip bottle of Shooter’s Choice FP-10 Lubricant Elite CLP handles cleaning, lubrication, and protection from a single bottle, which matters when you’re working out of a pack or a range bag with limited space. A microfiber cloth rounds out the kit for wiping down the exterior after handling.
