The Otis 9mm Pistol Cleaning Kit is a straightforward, purpose-built maintenance solution for shooters who run 9mm, .38, .38 Special, .380, or .357 pistols and want a single kit that covers all of them without improvising with mismatched components. Everything here is matched to bore diameter from the start, so you are not fighting undersized brushes or swamping patches through a bore they were never sized for.

The backbone of the kit is a solid brass rod with a swivel T-handle. Brass is softer than steel, which matters because a rod that contacts the crown or rifling during a stroke will not score the metal the way a harder material would. The swivel handle lets the brush or jag rotate freely with the rifling rather than torquing against it, which reduces wear on both the tool and the bore over time.
