Description

The Otis Professional Pistol Cleaning Kit is built for the shooter who wants to do the job properly rather than just run a patch through the bore and call it done. It covers the full practical range of common pistol calibers — .22 through .45 — so a single kit handles a mixed collection without reaching for anything else.

The core of the system is Otis’s Breech-to-Muzzle cleaning method, which uses Memory-Flex cables instead of rigid rods. A flexible cable follows the bore’s natural geometry without putting lateral pressure on the rifling, and pulling the cleaning attachment from chamber to muzzle moves fouling out the same direction the bullet travels rather than pushing debris back toward the action. Two cable lengths — 8 inch and 12 inch — give you options depending on barrel length and access. The 8-inch cable ships with a slotted tip permanently affixed, so it’s ready to run a patch immediately.

Four bore brushes are included, each with its caliber stamped on the stem so there’s no guessing: .22, .38/.357 Magnum/9mm, .40/10mm, and .45. The panoply patches — 100% cotton, in both 2-inch and 3-inch sizes — fold to fill the bore and create 360-degree contact rather than dragging a flat patch along one side of the tube.

Beyond bore cleaning, the kit includes a pin punch, scraper, end brush, straight and bent picks, and a short AP brush for detail work on frames, slides, and other surfaces that a bore brush won’t reach. The Bore Reflector+ doubles as a chamber flag and a pull handle via its 8-32 threaded end. An obstruction remover handles mud, snow, or stuck cases and serves as a T-handle base for the female rod handle. Everything packs into a 4x4x2.5-inch soft pack case made in the USA.
