Description
Otis Technology’s 12 Gauge Shotgun Cleaning Kit is built for the shooter who wants a complete, gauge-specific cleaning solution without hunting down individual components. Everything in the kit is matched to the 12 gauge bore, so there is no guesswork about fit or thread compatibility.
The rod system uses five brass sections with male and female 8-32 threaded ends that connect into a full-length cleaning rod, capped with a swivel handle that lets the rod rotate freely as it travels through the bore. That rotation allows the brush or jag to follow the choke without binding, which matters when working a bronze phosphor brush through a tight constriction. Brass is intentionally softer than steel, so the rods and jag will not score the bore or choke threads on contact.
The pierce-point jag is a design worth understanding: the pointed tip punctures the center of the patch rather than folding it, which keeps the patch seated flat against the bore wall and maximizes surface contact on each pass. Three felt pads are included alongside the standard cleaning patches and cotton bore mop, giving you options for applying solvent or following up with oil. A thread adaptor converts the 8-32 rod ends to 5/16-27, which is the standard shotgun thread pitch, so the kit can accept additional 5/16-27 accessories you may already own.
A 0.5 fl. oz. bottle of Otis FP-10 Lubricant Elite CLP is included to lubricate and protect after cleaning. All components are precision machined in the USA.
