Description
The Proof Research Elevation MTR 2.0 in 6mm ARC is built for shooters who want a compact, capable bolt gun that doesn’t require them to choose between portability and serious precision. Left-hand configuration means the bolt handle falls naturally to the shooter’s strong hand without crossing the line of sight or disrupting cheek weld between shots — a practical consideration that most chassis designs still treat as an afterthought.
The carbon fiber wrapped match-grade barrel keeps weight down meaningfully compared to a steel profile of equivalent length, which matters during extended field use or when the rifle is packed out. Carbon fiber also dissipates heat differently than steel, helping maintain point of impact as barrel temperature climbs during a sustained string of fire. The 16.5-inch barrel sits at a length where 6mm ARC reaches a useful portion of its velocity potential while the overall package stays manageable.
A 1-in-8 twist rate governs how the rifle stabilizes projectiles. For 6mm ARC, that rate handles heavier, high-BC bullets in the 103–108 grain range reliably, which is where the cartridge earns its reputation at distance. Lighter or shorter bullets in the 75–90 grain range are also stabilized without issue, so ammunition selection stays flexible rather than narrow.
The Zermatt Arms Origin action provides the mechanical foundation, and the TFDE stock finish keeps the rifle consistent across the chassis system. Thread pattern is 5/8×24, which accommodates the most common muzzle device and suppressor interfaces for this bore diameter. The rifle ships with a 12-round MDT Steel AICS-pattern magazine and includes a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee from the manufacturer.
