The PWS 13.5x1LH Piston is built for shooters running pistols or pistol-caliber carbines with metric left-hand threaded barrels who want to mount a suppressor cleanly and without adapter stacking. The piston threads directly onto a 13.5×1 LH barrel, the thread standard common on platforms like the SIG MPX and CZ Scorpion, so there is no intermediate adapter in the stack that could introduce wobble or misalignment between host and can.
The piston’s job is to move the point of attachment from the fixed barrel threads to a Nielsen device-compatible interface, allowing the suppressor’s booster mechanism to cycle the slide normally. Without a piston of the correct thread pitch and direction, a suppressor designed for a tilting-barrel pistol will not function reliably, because the booster spring cannot do its work.
