Description

The MK111 MOD 2-M is Primary Weapons Systems’ compact rifle built around a carbine-length long-stroke piston system. Where a direct-impingement design bleeds combustion gas back into the bolt carrier, the long-stroke piston keeps that gas out of the action entirely, venting it forward through an adjustable gas block. That block offers three positions, which matters on a short-barreled platform where dwell time is limited and pressure curves are steep — tuning the port lets the shooter dial in reliable cycling whether running a suppressor or shooting unsuppressed without the system running overgassed. The result is a softer, more linear recoil impulse than a direct-impingement rifle of comparable length.

The .223 Wylde chamber sits between SAAMI .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO specs, accepting both cartridge types while providing the tighter leade geometry of a .223 match chamber. That tighter throat supports consistent bullet alignment and is the reason PWS uses it when accuracy is a stated goal. The 1:8 twist rate is a practical middle ground: it stabilizes heavier projectiles in the 69–77 grain range that benefit from this barrel length without refusing to run lighter ammunition reliably. Hunters and competitors shooting 62–77 grain loads are well within its sweet spot.

The FRC three-port compensator is threaded to accept Rearden suppressor mounts, so the muzzle device doesn’t need to come off to mount a suppressor. The 11-inch M-LOK handguard provides a long gripping surface relative to the barrel length and integrates Picatinny sections at the 12 o’clock position. Control work includes a Radian Raptor LT charging handle, Radian Talon ambidextrous safety, and ambidextrous bolt catch and magazine release. The trigger breaks between 5.5 and 6.5 pounds. A Magpul MOE SL stock and MOE K2 grip complete the package, and a 30-round magazine ships with the rifle where permitted.
