Description

The Radian RAMJET barrel and AFTERBURNER compensator are designed for Glock 17 Gen 4 shooters who want meaningful recoil management without sacrificing the ability to run a standard holster. The combo adds only 0.47 inches to overall slide length, which keeps it compatible with holsters sized for the G34 — a practical consideration for anyone who trains or carries with one platform and doesn’t want to own separate gear for a modified pistol.

The AFTERBURNER compensator is machined from stainless steel and paired with the RAMJET barrel, which is cut from hardened 416R stainless steel. Both components receive a Radianite coating, which is Radian’s proprietary finish engineered for low friction, high surface hardness, and resistance to the corrosive byproducts of muzzle blast. That last point matters specifically at the compensator interface, where uncoated surfaces tend to erode over time under sustained fire.

The mounting system — called INTRA-LOK — uses a tapered locking screw working against an angled V-groove to fix the compensator in a consistent position relative to the barrel. This matters because compensator timing affects how gases are directed and, by extension, how the muzzle behaves shot to shot. The design also allows the barrel to be removed for cleaning without disturbing the compensator’s fit when reinstalled. The barrel itself uses a threadless attachment method, so there is no external thread to protect or damage during routine maintenance.

Angled faces on the front of the AFTERBURNER are shaped to ease re-holstering — an intentional detail for anyone drawing and returning to a retention holster under time pressure. The finish on both components is Black DLC.
