Description

The Radian Afterburner and Ramjet combo is built for shooters who carry a Glock 43 and want a meaningful reduction in muzzle rise without giving up holster compatibility or ease of maintenance. It pairs a match-grade barrel with an integrated compensator in a way that keeps the overall package practical for daily carry, not just range work.

The Ramjet barrel is precision-machined from hardened 416R stainless steel, a material chosen for its dimensional stability and resistance to fouling under sustained use. The Afterburner compensator is also stainless steel, and both components receive Radian’s Radianite coating—a finish designed to reduce surface friction and resist corrosion rather than simply alter appearance. The angled front face of the Afterburner is shaped to assist with smooth reholstering, which matters in a carry context where snagging is a real concern.

The two components connect through Radian’s INTRA-LOK system, which uses a tapered locking screw and a V-groove interface to time and secure the compensator without tools. That same design allows the barrel to be withdrawn for cleaning independently, so you can field-strip and service the gun without disturbing the compensator’s position. When installed, the combination extends the slide to the same length as a Glock 48, which means any holster cut for the G48 will accept this setup directly.

The system is tuned for 124-grain and heavier 9mm ammunition. Lighter loads may not generate enough pressure to cycle the compensator ports effectively, so ammunition selection directly affects how much of the recoil-reduction benefit you actually see in use.
