The Radian Weapons Raptor-LT and Talon combo packages two of the more thoughtfully engineered AR-15 controls into a single purchase, aimed at shooters who want genuinely ambidextrous operation without bolting on aftermarket workarounds to a factory setup. Both components are built for mil-spec AR-15 and M16 platforms, so fitment is straightforward across the vast majority of standard lowers and uppers.

The Raptor-LT charging handle is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum — a grade chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio — then over-molded with a fiberglass-reinforced polymer. That construction keeps mass low while giving the latch surfaces enough rigidity to handle consistent, forceful manipulation from either side without flex or creep. The ambidextrous latch design means left- and right-handed shooters get the same purchase and the same stroke; there is no dominant-hand bias baked into the geometry the way there is with a standard GI handle that accepts only a single-side mod.

The Talon safety selector is adjustable between 45-degree and 90-degree throw positions. The shorter 45-degree arc lets a shooter disengage the safety with minimal thumb travel, which matters when firing from a compressed or non-standard position where the thumb cannot fully rotate. The longer 90-degree setting is more familiar to shooters trained on mil-spec controls and offers a more deliberate, tactile stop. Having both options on one selector means the rifle can be tuned to the shooter’s grip and training rather than the other way around. The selector is also ambidextrous, giving left-handed or support-side shooters direct access without a dedicated southpaw lower. The anodized black finish on both components is consistent with the Radian catalog standard and matches the Raptor-LT’s Type III hard anodized aluminum body.
