Description

The Radian Talon-GI is a single-sided AR-15 safety selector built around one practical problem: a standard 90-degree throw puts the lever in a position that can break a firing grip during manipulation, while a dedicated 45-degree selector commits you to a shorter throw before you know how your thumb will land with a new rifle or a different hand size. The Talon-GI sidesteps that choice entirely. Its modular design lets you switch between a 90-degree and a 45-degree throw without removing the selector from the lower receiver, so you can dial in the arc that works for your grip and your thumb geometry on the actual rifle, not on a workbench guess.

The no-screw lever retention keeps the lever indexed and seated without a fastener that can back out over time or work loose under hard use. The center shaft is machined from hardened steel with a black nitride finish, which provides corrosion resistance and surface hardness without adding thickness that would change the fit in the lower. The lever itself is machined from billet aircraft aluminum, keeping rotational mass low while maintaining the rigidity needed for consistent, repeatable actuation. Both components are made in the USA.

This is the long lever, single-sided version, suited to shooters who want a larger purchase surface for positive manipulation but are running a standard right-hand configuration and do not need an ambidextrous layout. If you already own the Radian Talon ambidextrous selector, the lever system on the GI variant follows the same modular logic, though the GI is built for mil-spec AR-15 lowers rather than requiring any modified hardware.
