Reptilia’s DOT Mount is designed for shooters who run a Holosun 509T on an M1913 Picatinny rail and need the optic seated at a 1.93-inch optical axis height — the standard that puts a red dot in line with night-vision-ready head positions and co-witnesses correctly with many suppressor-height iron sights. That height choice isn’t arbitrary: it determines how naturally your cheek weld aligns with the dot under stress, so getting it right for your setup matters more than shaving grams.

The mount is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, a grade chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio, and finished in Flat Dark Earth anodized via Milspec Type III hard anodizing. That process produces a hard, wear-resistant surface rather than a cosmetic coating, which matters on any part that sees rail contact and torque cycles repeatedly. The clamp that secures the mount to the rail is nitrided steel and spring-loaded, a combination that maintains consistent clamping force across temperature swings without relying on the user to torque to a precise feel every time. The mount ships with the screws and hex key needed for installation, so there’s nothing additional required to get the optic on the rail and zeroed.

The low-profile, anti-snag geometry is a deliberate trade-off: it sacrifices easy tool-free adjustability in favor of a silhouette that won’t catch on gear during a draw or while moving through tight spaces.
