Description

The Reptilia DOT Mount is a purpose-built solution for shooters running the Holosun AEMS who want a fixed, repeatable 1.93-inch optical axis height. That height aligns naturally with standard AR-platform cheek welds and co-witnesses appropriately with most backup iron sights, which means less conscious adjustment between positions and more time on target.

The mount is machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, a grade chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio. Where a heavier mount adds unnecessary mass forward of the receiver, the DOT Mount keeps the overall package trim without sacrificing rigidity. The Mil-Spec Type III hard anodized finish is not merely cosmetic — that coating depth and hardness resists wear at the contact points that take the most abuse during regular field handling.

Clamping to any M1913 Picatinny rail, the spring-loaded nitrided steel clamp is the part of this system that matters most under recoil. Nitriding increases surface hardness and corrosion resistance on the steel components that bear the actual load, and the spring-loaded design maintains consistent clamping pressure as the mount seats — reducing the variables that cause zero shift between range sessions.
