At 1.93 inches of optical axis height, it positions the MRO where the sightline clears standard iron sights comfortably, which matters when transitioning between glass and irons under time pressure. The mount achieves this without the chunky footprint of many riser blocks because Reptilia machines it from a single billet of 7075-T6 aluminum — a material choice that keeps mass low while giving the structure enough stiffness to hold zero through the kind of hard use that would flex lesser alloys.
