Description

The Reptilia DOT Mount is built for shooters who want a rigid, no-compromise mounting solution for Trijicon RMR and SRO optics on a 1913 Picatinny rail. At 1.93 inches of optical axis height, the mount positions the optic so that a shooter can maintain a standard cheekweld on a rifle stock while looking directly through the red dot—a practical advantage for carbine and rifle setups where absolute co-witness or a high-visibility sight picture is the goal.

Reptilia machines the body from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, an alloy chosen because it combines a high strength-to-weight ratio with resistance to the deformation that hard use and recoil cycling impose over time. Keeping mass out of the mount matters because every gram added forward of the receiver affects balance and prolonged handling comfort. The clamp and mounting bolt are nitrided steel, which resists corrosion and surface wear at the points of greatest mechanical stress—the contact surfaces that lock the mount to the rail and take the torque load when you tighten down. A spring-loaded clamp mechanism maintains consistent clamping force and reduces the chance of rail marring during installation. The entire assembly is finished in Mil-Spec Type III hard anodize, a coating that is harder than standard anodize and provides genuine abrasion resistance rather than just corrosion protection. The mount is also compatible with Holosun optics that use the RMR footprint, including the HS407, HS507, HE407, HE507, and HE508 series. Every unit is manufactured in the United States.
