Reptilia’s 15-inch M-LOK handguard is aimed at AR-15 builders and trainers who want a rigid, full-length rail platform without the bulk of a quad-rail system. The starting point for that rigidity is the material: it is machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, which is the same alloy specification used in aircraft structural components, chosen because it carries a higher tensile strength than the 6061 alloy common in less demanding applications. That choice matters on a handguard because flex between the upper receiver and the rail surface degrades zero repeatability for any accessories mounted forward of the receiver.

The finish is a MIL-STD Type III, Class 2 hard anodize, which is a deeper, denser oxide layer than standard Type II anodizing. Hard anodize resists abrasion from retention hardware and repeated accessory swaps without wearing through to bare aluminum, and it does so without adding a paint or coating layer that could affect contact surfaces.

The attachment method is where Reptilia distinguishes its approach: the handguard clamps via a patented turnbuckle system rather than a conventional set-screw or direct-thread barrel nut arrangement. A turnbuckle mechanism allows the clamping force to be applied and adjusted evenly around the barrel nut interface, which helps maintain consistent torque without the localized stress points that single-screw tightening can introduce. The barrel nut and all required hardware are included, so no separate hardware kit is needed to complete the installation. M-LOK slots are distributed along the body to accommodate lights, foregrips, and other accessories at standard M-LOK spacing.
