That anodize specification matters in practice: Type III hardcoat is significantly denser and more abrasion-resistant than standard Type II, which means the finish stays intact through sustained range work and rough handling rather than wearing through at contact points.

What sets this handguard apart mechanically is Reptilia’s patented turn buckle attachment system. Most free-float handguards require a barrel nut wrench and careful torque management; the turn buckle design is engineered to mate with any standard M4 upper receiver and lock up without specialized tooling, reducing the margin for installation error.
