Description

The Reptilia ROF-90 is a mounting solution for shooters who run a magnified optic as their primary and want a red dot immediately available without breaking their firing position or swapping equipment. The concept is straightforward: the ROF-90 attaches to a 30mm scope body and holds an Aimpoint Micro-footprint red dot directly to the tube, so both optics occupy the same real estate on the rifle rather than competing for rail space.

Reptilia designed the ROF-90 to interface with their own AUS mount system as well as Geissele’s Super Precision scope mount, meaning the offset red dot rides at a fixed, repeatable relationship to the scope rather than floating on a separate section of Picatinny where ring spacing and rail condition could introduce variation. The mount is machined from aluminum alloy and finished in Flat Dark Earth anodize, which is Reptilia’s own designation for this variant. The anodized finish is hardwearing and dimensionally stable, resisting the kind of corrosion that would affect an unprotected metal surface in field conditions.

The practical case for this setup is the transition speed it enables. A shooter zeroed on a magnified optic for precision work can shift to the red dot for close-range or fast-moving targets without removing eye contact from the general threat area or hunting through a bag for a second piece of equipment.
