Description
The Reptilia ROF-SAR is built for shooters running a magnified optic who also want a fast, always-ready close-range sight on the same rifle. Rather than adding a separate mount rail or offset bracket, the ROF-SAR clamps around a 30mm scope body and provides an Aimpoint Micro-footprint mounting surface — letting the shooter place a compact red dot directly on the scope tube without consuming rail space elsewhere on the rifle.
The practical advantage is flexibility in positioning. The Micro-footprint optic can be rotated to any orientation around the scope body, so the shooter can dial in the exact clock position that works with their cheek weld and preferred shooting stance. That same adjustability makes it straightforward to zero the piggyback optic for a different cartridge than the primary — a common setup for rifles chambered in 300 AAC Blackout, where the magnified optic is zeroed for supersonic loads and the red dot handles subsonic work.
Construction is CNC-machined billet 7075-T6 aluminum, which keeps the assembly light enough that adding a second optic does not meaningfully shift the rifle’s balance. The Type III hard coat anodize finish is not merely cosmetic — it provides a harder surface layer that resists wear at the contact points between mount and scope tube. Compatible footprints include the Aimpoint Micro H-1, H-2, T-1, and T-2, as well as the SIG Sauer ROMEO4 and ROMEO5, and Holosun 403, 503, 515, and 530 series optics, among others. The mount ships in black anodize and is made in the USA.
