Description
The Reptilia ROF-SAR is a scope-offset mount designed for shooters running a magnified optic on a 34mm tube who need to maintain access to a non-magnified red dot for close-range work. Rather than breaking down and re-zeroing a separate sighting system, the ROF-SAR positions a Trijicon RMR or SRO directly alongside the primary optic, so transitions between magnification levels require only a shift in head position rather than any manipulation of the rifle.
Reptilia machines the ROF-SAR from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, which keeps weight low without sacrificing the rigidity required to hold zero through sustained use. The exterior receives a MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodize in Flat Dark Earth, a finish dense and abrasion-resistant enough to handle the handling marks that accumulate in training environments. The Flat Dark Earth anodize coordinates with common earth-tone setups without requiring a painted or Cerakoted finish that could vary in shade between components.
Compatibility with both the RMR and SRO footprint means shooters are not locked into a single optic choice. The SRO’s larger glass and the RMR’s more enclosed housing sit on the same mounting pattern, so the mount does not become obsolete if the shooter changes red dots. This makes the ROF-SAR a reasonable long-term investment for competitors, trainers, or anyone building a rifle intended to serve across multiple roles rather than a single dedicated purpose.
