Description

The Reptilia Saddle Mount is built for shotgunners running a Beretta 1301 or A300 who want to add a Holosun 509T red dot without raising the optic above the plane where it becomes useful. The design philosophy is straightforward: get the dot as close to the receiver as physically possible so the shooter’s head stays in a natural, consistent position on the stock rather than being forced up to meet a raised optic.

To accomplish that, Reptilia machines the Saddle from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, a material that keeps weight down while providing the rigidity a shotgun’s operating forces demand. The mount receives a Milspec Type III Hard Coat Anodize finish, which is not a paint or coating applied over soft metal but an electrochemical conversion of the aluminum’s surface layer, making it integral to the part and resistant to abrasion under field conditions.

The practical payoff of the low-profile geometry is a genuine co-witness with the 1301’s and A300’s factory iron sights.
