Description

The Riton 3 Series Tactix 1-8×24 is built for shooters who need a single optic to cover both close-quarters work and extended-range precision—patrol rifles, competition stages, or any role where magnification has to move fast and commitment to one power setting is not an option. At true 1x, the OT reticle functions essentially as a red dot, letting both eyes stay open for near-zero-distance target acquisition. Dialing toward 8x brings in enough resolution to place shots precisely at practical hunting and mid-range tactical distances without the tunnel-vision drawbacks of a higher-magnification fixed optic.

The reticle sits on the second focal plane, which means the subtensions printed into the OT pattern remain constant regardless of where the magnification ring sits. That is a deliberate trade-off: at a single designated power—typically maximum—holdover marks read correctly, but at any other setting they require a correction factor. For a scope in this power range used primarily for engagement rather than long-range ranging, the SFP arrangement keeps the reticle lines clean and easy to read under stress.

Eleven illumination levels give the shooter enough range to run the lit reticle in harsh midday light and dial it back to a usable intensity at night without washing out the target. The capped, zero-resettable turrets protect adjustments from being bumped in the field while still allowing a clean return to a confirmed zero after any dialing. The integrated removable throw lever lets the shooter move through the full magnification range quickly without having to re-grip the scope body, which matters when a stage or a field situation demands an immediate power change. The 30mm main tube provides the internal real estate needed for the 1/2 MOA windage and elevation adjustments to travel without running out of range.
