The optical foundation here is Riton’s HD/ED glass, which uses extra-low dispersion elements to reduce chromatic aberration — the color fringing that becomes most noticeable at higher magnifications or in high-contrast scenes like a dark treeline against a bright sky. Less dispersion means colors read more accurately and edges stay defined, which matters when you’re trying to distinguish antler from branch at distance. The lenses are fully multi-coated with Riton’s proprietary stack, which includes low-light enhancement, full wide-band, anti-scratch, and anti-reflective treatments — the combination keeps stray light out and useful light moving through.
