Description
The Rugged Suppressors Obsidian 45 Three-Lug Adapter is purpose-built for shooters who want a fast, tool-free transition between a host pistol and a compatible suppressor. Rather than threading the suppressor on by hand, a three-lug mount lets you index and lock the can in a fraction of a second — useful on any range where you swap between a suppressed and unsuppressed setup frequently, and especially practical when the host is holstered between strings.
The 11/16″x24 thread pattern is the standard for .45 ACP barrels, so this adapter seats correctly on threaded pistol barrels cut to that spec without shimming or adapting. The adapter is designed to work in conjunction with Rugged’s own .45 ACP Three-Lug Mount, keeping the interface within a matched system rather than mixing components from different manufacturers’ tolerances. A No-Go/Go gauge function is built into the design to confirm that the suppressor has seated and locked correctly before firing — a straightforward mechanical check that removes any guesswork about whether the mount is fully engaged.
The matte black finish resists glare under range lighting and holds up to the handling that comes with regular suppressor swaps. At roughly a quarter pound, the adapter adds little to the overall package. If you already run Rugged’s Obsidian 45 and want the speed advantage of a lug mount over direct thread, this is the direct fitment solution from the same manufacturer.
