Description

The SureFire Suppressor Trainer is built for military and law enforcement personnel who train with force-on-force scenarios and need their kit to behave the same way in training as it does in the field. Strapping on a real suppressor for marking cartridge or UTM drills isn’t an option, so this trainer exists to fill that gap — it replicates the length, weight, and Fast-Attach® mounting behavior of SureFire’s SOCOM Fast-Attach® suppressors without providing any sound reduction whatsoever. That last point matters: because it has no sound-suppressing internals, it remains unregulated as a suppressor, which means it can move through training programs without the logistical overhead that a functioning can would require.

The attachment system uses SureFire’s patented Fast-Attach® design, the same interface found on SOCOM service suppressors, so the muscle memory a soldier or officer builds during training — mounting, dismounting, indexing — transfers directly to the real thing. The 7.62mm variant is dimensionally matched to SureFire’s SOCOM 7.62 suppressors, specifically scaled up from the 5.56mm trainer to reflect the longer, heavier profile of full-power rifle caliber cans. That dimensional fidelity is the whole point: balance, muzzle-heavy handling, and sight picture all change when a suppressor goes on a rifle, and training without that added mass means training with a fundamentally different weapon feel.

Construction is stainless steel throughout, finished in Cerakote in black. It is compatible with marking cartridges including Simunition FX and UTM rounds, SRTA training ammunition, frangible rounds, and standard live ammunition. Every unit is made in the United States.
