Description
The Razor762 in FDE Cerakote is built for shooters who need a compact, hard-use suppressor on a 7.62mm platform without sacrificing reliability under sustained fire. Where many suppressors require a tradeoff between size and durability, Rugged addressed this by machining the Razor762 from 17-4 PH stainless steel and pairing it with a Cobalt 6 baffle core — a material choice that holds up to the heat and erosion that come with high round counts and magnum-pressure cartridges. The result is a can rated for calibers up to .300 Remington Ultra Magnum and approved for belt-fed, full-auto use with no barrel length restrictions.
At 6.4 inches, the Razor762 keeps overall rifle length manageable on short-barrel builds, where suppressor length has a real effect on handling. The FDE High Temp Cerakote finish is worth noting here not just for appearance — it’s formulated to resist the extreme surface temperatures suppressors regularly reach during extended strings of fire.
Mounting uses Rugged’s Dual Taper Locking System, a quick-detach interface designed to eliminate the carbon lockup that plagues some direct-thread and less refined QD designs. The taper geometry also provides repeatable return to zero, which matters if you’re running the same optic zero with and without the suppressor attached. No timing is required during installation. Interchangeable front caps let you configure the Razor762 for either 7.62mm or 5.56mm use, giving the suppressor real versatility across multiple host rifles on the same mounting system.
