Description

The SBA3 is SB Tactical’s most widely adopted adjustable AR pistol brace, and it earns that position by doing one thing well: keeping weight and bulk off an AR-pattern pistol without sacrificing the adjustability that makes a build practical to run. If your priority is a compact, lightweight setup — whether that’s a truck gun, a range pistol, or a tight PDW-style configuration — the SBA3’s minimalist polymer shell is designed around that goal from the start.

The five-position adjustment works on any standard mil-spec carbine receiver extension, which means it fits the buffer tube you likely already have rather than requiring a proprietary component. Each position clicks positively into place, letting you shorten the brace for storage or close-quarters use and extend it when a longer configuration suits your stance or sling setup. The adjustment range runs from approximately 6.75 inches collapsed to 9.5 inches fully extended, giving you meaningful variation across the five stops.

The integral QD sling socket is ambidextrous and built into the brace body, so you’re not adding a separate sling mount or working around an asymmetric attachment point. That’s a small detail that pays off when you’re configuring a one-point or two-point sling on a pistol build where balance and weight distribution matter.

Construction is reinforced polymer throughout. Compared to the SBA4, which uses a heavier, more rigid shell aimed at larger builds where structural mass is acceptable, the SBA3 trades some of that rigidity for roughly three ounces less weight — a meaningful difference on a firearm that’s already optimized for light carry.
