Description

The SBA6 is SB Tactical’s narrowest A-Series adjustable pistol stabilizing brace, developed in collaboration with Die Free Co. for shooters building or running compact AR-pattern platforms on a mil-spec carbine receiver extension. If you are already familiar with the SBA3, SBA4, or SBA5, the SBA6 occupies a distinct place in that lineup rather than simply replacing any of them.

The defining characteristic is its approximately 1.6-inch maximum width — noticeably slimmer than the SBA3’s approximately 2-inch profile, the SBA4’s approximately 2.25 inches, and the SBA5’s approximately 2.1 inches. That reduction in width trims visual bulk and keeps the brace from extending past a narrow receiver, which matters on pistol-caliber builds where the lower tends to be compact. The trade-off relative to the SBA3 is weight: the SBA6 runs approximately 8.5 ounces against the SBA3’s approximately 6.75 ounces, so the narrower profile comes with a modest weight increase, not a decrease.

Where the SBA6 departs most noticeably in construction is the full rubber arm cuff. The other A-Series models use different materials and geometries at the cuff; the SBA6’s complete rubber wrap provides a flexible contact surface that conforms rather than bears rigidly against the forearm. An adjustable one-inch nylon strap is included and lets the fit be dialed in independently of the five-position length adjustment, which rides on any standard mil-spec carbine receiver extension you already have.

The integral ambidextrous QD sling socket is recessed into the brace body on both sides, so sling attachment does not require an adapter or change the brace’s profile. The receiver extension is sold separately. Made in the USA.
