Description

The SilencerCo ASR Blast Shield is a muzzle-end accessory designed for shooters who run ASR-pattern muzzle devices and want to redirect concussive pressure away from themselves and anyone standing nearby. When firing from a muzzle brake alone, a significant portion of propellant gas is directed laterally and rearward to manage recoil — which is effective, but punishing on anyone off to the side. The Blast Shield attaches directly to a compatible ASR muzzle device and channels that gas forward, making sustained range sessions more tolerable for the shooter and considerably less disruptive to others on the line.

The steel construction gives the shield meaningful mass, which contributes a secondary benefit: added weight at the muzzle tends to dampen muzzle rise during follow-up shots, though it does add to the overall front-end load of the rifle. That trade-off is worth considering if the build is intended for anything where a lighter muzzle matters. For a static range setup or a rifle that spends most of its time on a bench or bipod, the added weight is largely a non-issue.

Compatibility is specific: the ASR Blast Shield works with SilencerCo’s ASR mounting system and is not a universal fit for other muzzle devices. Shooters already running an ASR brake or other ASR-pattern device will find this a straightforward add-on. The steel construction is finished in black. Part number AC1548.
