Description
Seekins Precision SP Rings are built for shooters who need a secure, repeatable optic platform on precision rifles, long-range builds, or any application where the scope mount cannot introduce error into an otherwise dialed-in system. This set is sized for 34mm main tubes and machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, a grade chosen for its high strength-to-weight ratio that resists deformation under recoil without adding meaningful mass to the host rifle.
The 1.26-inch extra high mounting height exists to solve a specific geometry problem. Shooters running large objective lenses, night vision clip-ons, or extended sun shades often find that standard and high mounts leave the objective bell too close to the barrel or handguard to allow full turret travel or consistent cheek weld. The extra high profile creates clearance for those configurations while still keeping the optical axis low enough that a reasonable stock riser can bring the eye into alignment. It is not the right choice for a minimalist daytime hunting setup, but it is the correct one when glass or support hardware demands the extra room.
The four-screw cap design distributes clamping load evenly across the ring body, reducing the risk of scope tube distortion that can shift point of impact or introduce tracking inconsistency. The matte black finish keeps the rings visually neutral and does not add reflectivity that could matter in field conditions. Mounting is to a Picatinny rail, which gives the rings a defined, repeatable index point so the position can be re-established after removal without re-zeroing from scratch.
