The Seekins Precision AR ATC is a compensator built for shooters running .308/7.62 NATO AR-platform rifles who want a meaningful reduction in muzzle rise without sacrificing a clean, repeatable shooting experience. Where a standard muzzle brake tends to redirect gas aggressively to the sides, the ATC’s port arrangement is tuned to address both vertical and lateral movement, keeping the muzzle on target through follow-through shots. That distinction matters most in any context where a quick second or third round needs to land near the first.

Construction is 416R stainless steel, finished in Seekins’ black Melonite treatment. Melonite is a ferritic nitrocarburizing process that hardens the surface and increases corrosion resistance — useful on a component that sits at the hottest, dirtiest point of the gas cycle. The stainless substrate adds a layer of inherent rust resistance beneath that surface treatment, so the combination is more durable than either material alone would be.

The ATC ships with a timing nut, which lets you rotate the compensator to the correct clocked position without staking or thread-locking compounds, and then remove it again for cleaning without losing that alignment. On a muzzle device with directional porting, clocking matters: an improperly timed port can work against you rather than for you. The timing nut eliminates the guesswork. Seekins specifies this model for use on barrels with a muzzle diameter no larger than .750 inches, so confirm your barrel profile before ordering. The 5/8″-24 thread pitch is standard for .308-bore AR-10 and LR-308 platforms.
