Description

The Strike Industries Cobra is a drop-in replacement trigger guard for AR-15 platform rifles, machined from aircraft-grade aluminum. Where a standard polymer guard is a passive enclosure, the Cobra is designed to do two jobs at once: keep the trigger finger indexed safely and speed up magazine changes.

The raised hood at the front of the guard — Strike Industries calls it the Cobra Head — gives your support hand a firm, repeatable rest for the trigger finger when it is off the trigger. That tactile index point means you are not guessing at finger placement during a string of fire or a transition, which matters any time you need to re-engage a target quickly.

The lower forward edge of the guard carries what Strike Industries calls the Fang, a geometry borrowed from their polymer trigger guard line. It angles inward to funnel an incoming magazine toward the magwell during a reload, reducing the precision required to seat the magazine cleanly. The practical effect is more consistent reloads under time pressure or in low light, without any change to how you run the rifle otherwise.

The guard ships with three M3 hex screws and installs in place of the factory guard on a standard mil-spec lower. At roughly half an ounce, the added weight over a polymer guard is negligible. The finish is black anodizing over the billet aluminum body.
