The Quick-Change Barrel Collar is worth understanding rather than skipping past. It lets the shooter swap barrels without a gunsmith and without re-bedding, which means a single action can be reconfigured for a different cartridge as long as the headspace is verified. The three-lug bolt with its 60-degree throw shortens the handle arc required to cycle the action, a real advantage when shooting from a tight position or under a scope with a large objective.
