Description
The Havak PH3 is Seekins Precision’s answer to a practical long-range hunting rifle — something built around fast field use and genuine accuracy rather than benchrest ceremony. It suits the hunter or precision shooter who needs a rifle that can transition between cartridges without a trip to a gunsmith, and who is willing to spend on construction to avoid compromise in the field.
At the core of the system is Seekins’ quick-change barrel design, paired with a three-lug bolt and a 60-degree throw. The short throw keeps the bolt handle out of the way during rapid cycling and reduces the arc your hand has to travel between shots — meaningful when you are working from an awkward position. The three-lug arrangement distributes lockup stress across more surface area than a conventional two-lug design, which matters when you are running a cartridge with the case volume of the .300 PRC. Toolless bolt disassembly means cleaning and caliber-change maintenance can happen in camp without a dedicated tool kit.
The 1-in-10 twist rate is well matched to the long, high-BC projectiles that make the .300 PRC useful at extended range — it stabilizes heavy-for-caliber bullets without over-spinning lighter options. The barrel is fluted and threaded at 5/8×24, so you can run a muzzle device without adapters. The receiver carries an integrated 20 MOA Picatinny rail, which builds elevation offset directly into the mounting system and preserves scope adjustment range at distance. A full-length M-LOK rail runs along the underside of the forend for accessories, and the stock’s adjustable cheek riser lets you dial in a consistent weld under magnified optics. The Urban Shadow Camo finish on the synthetic stock is Seekins’ own pattern, not a licensed print. The rifle ships with one three-round carbon fiber magazine.
