The HAVAK Pro Hunter 3 is Seekins Precision’s answer to a specific problem: building a mountain rifle around .300 PRC that doesn’t ask the hunter to choose between field packability and genuine long-range capability. It’s aimed at serious big-game hunters and precision shooters who cover ground on foot and need a rifle that earns its weight rather than just minimizing it.

The 1-in-10 twist rate is a deliberate match to the .300 PRC cartridge’s typical bullet weight range. That caliber was designed from the outset around long, heavy-for-caliber projectiles seated out to make full use of available case capacity, and a 10-inch twist stabilizes those heavy, high-BC bullets reliably without the over-spin that can open groups with shorter, lighter options. Ammunition selection here should lean toward the heavier end — 212- to 250-grain projectiles are where the cartridge and the twist work together.

The action uses a three-lug bolt with a 60-degree throw, which shortens the bolt handle arc noticeably compared to a two-lug design. In a field position where stock weld and cheek placement matter, that reduced lift keeps your hand closer to the firing position during cycling. The quick-change barrel system means the platform isn’t locked to a single cartridge long-term, which extends the practical life of the investment.

An integrated 20 MOA Picatinny rail is cut directly into the receiver, providing the elevation offset that long-range work in .300 PRC demands without requiring a canted base that can introduce cant variability. The adjustable cheek riser lets the shooter dial in eye alignment to whatever optic height the chosen scope and rings require, rather than shimming with pads. The fluted, threaded 22-inch barrel is finished in black and ships with a single three-round carbon fiber magazine.
