Description
The Havak PH3 is Seekins Precision’s answer to a mountain hunting rifle: light enough to carry through rough country, accurate enough to reach out when the shot requires it. It is built around a three-lug bolt with a 60-degree throw, which keeps the bolt handle low and close to the action so a scope can sit where it needs to without forcing an awkward grip during cycling. The quick-change barrel system is a genuine field consideration — a hunter running multiple calibers can swap barrels without sending the rifle to a gunsmith, and toolless bolt disassembly means cleaning or caliber-specific maintenance stays on the shooter’s own bench.
The 1-in-8-inch twist rate is well suited to the heavier, higher-BC projectiles that have become standard in long-range hunting loads for 7mm Remington Magnum — bullets in the 168- to 175-grain range stabilize reliably, giving the shooter more flexibility in ammunition selection than a slower twist would allow. The barrel is fluted and threaded, keeping weight down without sacrificing stiffness, and the muzzle is cut to accept standard accessories. An integrated 20 MOA Picatinny rail is machined into the receiver, which means a long-range optic with limited internal elevation adjustment still has room to reach distance without burning through its travel at zero. The Woodland Shadow synthetic stock includes an adjustable cheek riser, so eye alignment stays consistent whether the shooter moves between optics or fits the rifle to different users. The full-length M-LOK rail along the forend keeps attachment options open without adding permanent hardware.
