Description
Seekins Precision’s SP Scope Rings are built for shooters who want a precision-machined, no-compromise mounting solution for large-objective scopes on Picatinny-railed rifles. The 35mm tube diameter accommodates the growing category of high-magnification optics that have moved away from the traditional 30mm standard, and the .95-inch low profile keeps the centerline of the optic as close to the bore as the objective bell allows — a lower mount reduces the gap between line of sight and line of bore, which tightens the near and far zero crossings and simplifies holds at varied distances.
The rings are cut from 7075-T6 aluminum, an alloy chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio. At the wall thicknesses used in precision ring construction, 7075-T6 resists the deformation that repeated recoil cycles can introduce over time without adding meaningful weight to the rifle. The matte black finish reduces surface reflection in field conditions without requiring any additional treatment.
At 1.964 inches of total height, these rings place the scope tube at a height that suits most standard AR-pattern receivers and bolt-action stocks with a moderate comb, though shooters building a precision bolt gun with a raised cheekpiece should measure carefully before assuming any ring will work with their particular stock geometry. The fit is to Picatinny rail, which provides positive indexing through the recoil lug engagement of the cross slots — the ring does not rely on clamping friction alone to resist fore-and-aft movement under recoil.
