The P320 XFIVE MAX 2 is SIG Sauer’s competition-ready variant of the P320, built in collaboration with Guinness World Record holder and Team SIG captain Max Michel. It is aimed squarely at practical shooting competitors who want a factory pistol configured for the demands of USPSA-style stages rather than a starting point they have to modify themselves.

The grip module is molded from tungsten-infused polymer, a material choice that shifts mass into the frame and lowers the center of gravity. That added weight dampens muzzle rise between shots and smooths transitions between targets — meaningful advantages when stage time is measured in fractions of a second. The slide features wrap-around custom serrations for positive grip whether you’re running a press-check from the top or racking from the rear under stress. A flat-blade skeletonized trigger is fitted from the factory, and the recoil system ships with both a 14 lb and a 12 lb 1911-style spring, letting you tune the felt impulse to your load and preference without ordering parts separately.

The Springer Precision magazine release is reversible, and the pistol also ships with a detachable magwell funnel and an ambidextrous slide release — all features that address the mechanics of competition reloads and stage flow rather than carry considerations. A pre-installed ROMEO3 MAX red dot sits on a Springer Precision optic plate machined to SIG’s PRO footprint, and the slide cut is designed around that ecosystem. The pistol is built around SIG’s modular Fire Control Unit, so the serialized FCU can migrate to different grip modules and slides within the compatible size family as your requirements change.
