The P938 Legion is Sig Sauer’s answer to a specific problem: carrying a single-action pistol without giving up the grip real estate that makes single-action triggers worth the manual safety discipline. Based on the classic 1911 operating system scaled down to a micro-compact frame, it rewards shooters who are already comfortable with cocked-and-locked carry and want that same mechanical relationship in a pocket-sized package.

Single-action-only triggers are inherently consistent, with the same short, clean break on every pull—an advantage that becomes meaningful when a compact pistol’s shorter sight radius already demands more from the shooter. Pairing that trigger with X-RAY3 night sights addresses the other weak point of small pistols: sight picture acquisition. X-RAY3 sights use a green tritium front element inside a photoluminescent ring, which stays visible in conditions where both iron sights and standard dot sights fade out.

The ambidextrous manual safety is a practical acknowledgment that 1911-pattern thumb safeties have historically favored right-handed shooters, and that a carry gun should be fully operable with either hand. The Legion Gray Cerakote finish is specific to the Legion tier within Sig’s lineup and holds up better to holster wear than blued or bare stainless would over the same carry cycle.
