Description
The Sig Sauer FOXTROT-MSR is a full-size weapon light built for mounting on rifles, particularly shorter-barreled platforms where a compact but powerful light matters most. It is a straightforward tool for anyone running a defensive or duty carbine who wants reliable, high-output illumination without relying on separate battery logistics.
The light outputs 1,350 lumens alongside 33,000 candela. Lumens measure total light volume, while candela measures the intensity of the focused beam — the candela figure is what determines how far the hotspot reaches and how effectively it washes out a target at distance. That combination makes this light capable of both close-quarters use and extended identification ranges.
Power comes from a single 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable cell, which is included. Using a rechargeable format rather than CR123 primaries means the battery can be topped off before a shift or training day rather than replaced, though runtime on a full charge runs approximately 1.5 hours at full output.
Activation is handled two ways: an integrated push-button on the body supports both momentary and constant-on modes, and a remote tape switch input uses a SureFire-compatible plug so the light can be run from a pressure pad at the forend without reaching the body of the unit. That SureFire plug compatibility means existing tape switch setups from that ecosystem transfer directly.
The body is machined from 6061 aluminum with a black anodized finish, and the package includes both a Picatinny rail mount and an M-LOK mount, as well as compatibility with SureFire Scout-pattern mounts. That range of mounting options keeps the FOXTROT-MSR usable across most common handguard configurations without additional adapters.
