Description
The P226 MK25 is the version of Sig Sauer’s full-size P226 built to the specification adopted by the U.S. Navy SEALs, and it suits anyone who wants a duty-grade pistol with a documented service record rather than a civilian-market approximation of one. The anchor engraved on the left side of the slide and the UID label are not decorative choices — they mark this as mechanically identical to the fielded military variant.
The double-action/single-action trigger system means the first shot fires from a longer, heavier pull that cocks and releases the hammer simultaneously, while every subsequent shot fires from the shorter, lighter single-action position. That difference matters for shooters transitioning from striker-fired pistols: the DA/SA pattern requires deliberate practice to manage the pull weight shift, but it also means the hammer is always in a readable position. The decocker safely drops the hammer to the DA position without firing, giving you a defined condition between shots without a manual thumb safety to manage under stress.
SIGLITE night sights are tritium-illuminated iron sights that require no batteries and no activation — they work in low light the moment the pistol comes out. The aluminum alloy frame keeps weight manageable over a full duty shift, while the stainless steel slide with Nitron finish resists corrosion in environments where moisture is a constant. The M1913 Picatinny rail forward of the trigger guard accepts standard weapon lights and lasers without adapters. Three 15-round magazines are included in the box.
