Description
The P226X Legion in its 10-round configuration is built for shooters who want a full-size, all-metal DA/SA pistol that can accept an optic without compromising the factory sight picture. The platform is aimed at competitors, duty-oriented shooters, and serious range users who prefer the P226 action’s longer trigger reset and heavier initial pull as a deliberate safety margin, then the lighter, shorter single-action pull for follow-up shots once the hammer is cocked.
The AX2 trigger system is the central upgrade here. It allows independent adjustment of both pre-travel and over-travel, so a shooter can dial in the break point to match technique rather than adapting to a fixed factory setting. That kind of two-way adjustability is uncommon on a DA/SA platform and meaningfully affects split times for anyone doing timed work.
The slide is cut to the SIG-LOC PRO footprint, which accommodates the ROMEO1Pro, ROMEO2, DPP, and RMR mounting patterns without a plate swap for those footprints. The X-Ray3 day/night sights co-witness at a height that keeps them usable if an optic is removed in the field. The alloy frame and stainless steel slide are finished in Legion Gray Cerakote, which resists corrosion and surface wear through prolonged handling. LEGION G-10 grips and the undercut trigger guard position the hand higher on the frame, reducing muzzle rise between shots. A 1913 accessory rail on the frame allows light or laser attachment without modification. The pistol ships with three flush-fit 10-round steel magazines and is compatible with X5-series controls, slides, and grip components, making it a practical base for further customization.
