Description
The P320 XTEN is built for shooters who want serious terminal performance from a semi-automatic pistol platform — backcountry carry, hunting backup, or duty use where 9mm isn’t enough. It starts with the proven P320 chassis and scales it up to handle a cartridge that produces significantly higher chamber pressure and recoil impulse than the standard P320 family, which means nearly every component has been reworked rather than simply swapped.
The bull barrel design — a barrel with no separate bushing, where the barrel itself fills the slide opening — adds mass up front and tightens the lockup, both of which contribute to better consistency shot to shot and help manage the snappier recoil signature 10mm generates. The XSeries grip module was redesigned from the ground up for this caliber rather than adapted from the 9mm/.40/.357 line; it carries a stippled texture, an undercut trigger guard, and a refined beavertail that shifts the bore axis closer to the hand, making the recoil impulse easier to track back onto target. Sig is explicit that 9/357/40 parts and accessories do not interchange with the XTEN — the platform is purpose-built, not a conversion.
The optic-ready slide accepts the SIG ROMEO2 natively and accommodates a Trijicon RMR with a sealing plate. XRAY3 day/night sights are installed from the factory, so the pistol is immediately usable without mounting an optic. The flat-faced XSeries trigger is designed around a 90-degree break, which shortens the arc of travel and gives a more consistent reference point for the trigger finger across multiple shots. Two steel 15-round magazines are included.
