Description
The P322 is Sig Sauer’s full-size-framed rimfire pistol, built around the idea that a .22 LR training platform should handle and operate as close as possible to a centerfire carry gun rather than feeling like a compromise. The single-action-only trigger keeps the pull consistent shot to shot, which matters when you are building muscle memory for a carry gun with a similar trigger geometry—there is no staging through a long double-action pull to manage.
The optic-ready slide accepts a direct-mount red dot without needing an adapter plate, which keeps the dot low and centered over the bore rather than elevated by an intermediary riser. The fiber optic sights co-witness as a backup and are adjustable, so you can dial them to your preferred zero independently of whatever optic you run. Both controls—the safety and the slide release—are ambidextrous, a detail that makes the pistol genuinely workable for left-handed shooters rather than merely tolerable.
Two ten-round polymer magazines ship with the pistol, each running flush with the polymer frame. The 4-inch barrel gives you enough sight radius to shoot accurately at practical handgun distances while keeping the overall package compact. The polymer frame and anodized aluminum slide keep weight down, which reduces fatigue during extended range sessions—the platform’s primary use case. For a shooter who wants to run high round counts without the cost or recoil of centerfire ammunition, and who wants those repetitions to transfer meaningfully to a duty-style pistol, the P322 is a purposeful choice rather than a novelty.
