The P938 Legion is Sig Sauer’s answer to a specific problem: building a single-action micro-compact that carries like a pocket pistol but doesn’t feel like a compromise when you draw it. It’s aimed at shooters who grew up on 1911-pattern triggers and aren’t willing to give up that break in exchange for a smaller package. The single-action-only trigger means the hammer must be cocked before the pistol will fire, which produces a cleaner, shorter pull than a double-action design — but it also requires the shooter to be disciplined about the ambidextrous manual safety, which rides low enough for a firing grip to engage it naturally during the draw.

Sig carries the Legion treatment beyond cosmetics here. The aluminum trigger is precision-machined rather than cast, which removes the small amount of flex that can blur a trigger’s perceived break. Aggressive checkering on the trigger guard gives the support-hand index finger something to bite into, which matters when a small frame generates proportionally more muzzle flip per shot. The slide runs front cocking serrations alongside the rear set, useful on a short slide where your grip on the rear serrations is already compressed.

X-Ray3 Day/Night sights use a green tritium front with a bright ring and a rear notch designed for fast target acquisition in variable light — a practical choice for a pistol sized for concealed carry rather than range work. The Legion Gray Cerakote Elite finish covers both the alloy frame and stainless slide. Three seven-round magazines ship with the pistol, and the extended magwell is already cut into the frame, so swapping magazines under stress is faster than the grip’s footprint would otherwise allow.
