Description

The ROMEO-RS Compact is built around the realities of carrying a pistol every day. Its 24mm window sits on an RMSc footprint, making it a direct fit for optic-ready P365 family slides and any other pistol cut to that standard — no adapter plate required for most common hosts. The housing combines a steel chassis with a clear, skeletonized polymer shell. That construction keeps the optic light and compact while leaving your peripheral view open around the unit rather than walling it off behind solid shrouding.

The circle-dot reticle addresses two different shooting demands within a single optic. The 32 MOA ring is wide enough that the eye finds it immediately under a fast draw or from a compromised position, funneling your focus toward center without requiring precise head placement. The 2 MOA center dot then gives you a defined aiming point when the shot calls for it — at distance, on a partially exposed target, or during deliberate accuracy work on the range. Neither element interferes with the other; at speed you work the ring, and when time allows you refine with the dot.

The battery loads from the side via a tray with a security screw, so swapping a dead CR1632 does not require pulling the optic off the slide or re-zeroing afterward. MOTAC motion-activated illumination powers the unit down during inactivity and back up when the pistol moves, which matters when the optic is mounted on a carry gun that may sit for extended periods. Eight brightness steps let you match the dot intensity to ambient lighting conditions. Adjustment travel of 70 MOA in both elevation and windage gives enough range to accommodate a variety of mounting heights and zeroing distances.
