The shell is molded from SafariSeven, Safariland’s proprietary nylon blend, which matters for two reasons. First, it won’t abrade or discolor a pistol’s finish the way harder materials can over time. Second, the interior uses raised stand-off surfaces rather than full contact, so dirt and moisture have paths to clear the pistol rather than being trapped between the gun and the holster wall.
