Description

The Sons of Liberty Gun Works Liberty 2-Stage trigger is built for AR-15 shooters who want a predictable, repeatable pull for precision work — whether that’s a dedicated precision rifle, a competition build, or a short-barreled setup where trigger feel matters as much as barrel length. The two-stage design separates the pull into a deliberate first stage that takes up slack and sets the wall, followed by a distinct second stage that breaks cleanly. That architecture lets a shooter preload the trigger under stress without firing prematurely, which is a meaningful advantage over a single-stage in any situation requiring shot timing.

The shoe uses a hybrid straight-and-curved profile with softly rounded edges, a geometry that tries to split the difference between the consistent finger placement of a straight shoe and the ergonomic feel of a curved one. Pull weight comes in at 4.5 lbs total across both stages. The trigger and hammer are made from high-speed steel, and the entire assembly receives a DLC — Diamond-Like Carbon — finish that Sons of Liberty Gun Works calls Tacti-Black. DLC is a hard, low-friction coating that reduces the surface contact friction between moving parts and offers meaningful corrosion resistance without adding measurable thickness to critical dimensions. The installation pins are stainless steel, chosen for the same corrosion-resistance reasons. The trigger is ambidextrous by design, meaning the geometry and safety interface work regardless of which hand controls the fire control. Installation uses standard AR-15 dimensions and requires no special tooling or modified lower receiver.
