The Timney 661S is a drop-in, self-contained trigger assembly built for AR-15 shooters who want a cleaner, more repeatable break without the guesswork of fitting individual components. It operates as a single-stage design, meaning there is no take-up to work through before the wall — the shoe moves, resistance builds, and the hammer falls at a consistent, defined point. That predictability is what separates a precision-oriented trigger from a standard mil-spec unit, where creep and inconsistent break weight make it harder to call shots and diagnose misses.

The factory pull weight is set to 3 pounds, which sits light enough for deliberate, aimed fire but still provides enough resistance that unintended discharges from routine handling are not a practical concern.
